Nina Kotova: Designing Content Strategies That Connect and Deliver

I studied law, but from my first year I was drawn to media.

That focus shaped my entire education — media law became the lens through which I explored communication from political, cultural, sociological, and legal perspectives.

In academia, I taught ten disciplines as a lecturer across two universities and completed PhD-level studies in administrative and media law.

Research and teaching gave me habits I still rely on today: depth of analysis, patience with complexity, and the ability to turn information into clarity.

Later, I moved into professional roles in administrative support and procurement.

I managed contracts, coordinated vendors, and oversaw logistics — work that demanded structure, precision, and negotiation. At one point, I held roles in three companies simultaneously, while also completing my studies at the University of Arizona.

At the University of Arizona, I studied Information Science and e-Society. I graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA.

There, I focused on digital systems, user behavior, and the intersection of technology and culture. This gave me the tools to connect academic research with practical execution — to understand not only what information is, but how it circulates and why it matters.

With a foundation in law, operations, and information science, I wanted a field where all of these strengths could meet. Marketing became that space.

It allowed me to use research the way I had in academia, apply structure the way I had in procurement, and build narratives the way I had always been fascinated with in media.

It wasn’t a sudden shift but a gradual recognition: content is where systems and stories intersect. Marketing gave me the chance to turn analysis into strategy, and strategy into communication people can trust.

What I Bring

Content Strategy & SEO

I create research-driven frameworks that guide content direction — from keyword mapping to editorial calendars — building systems designed for visibility, clarity, and long-term growth.

Brand Voice & Messaging

I define and refine the voice of a brand, shaping guidelines that ensure consistency across platforms while writing copy that connects with audiences and builds trust.

Editorial Systems

I design sustainable publishing processes, turning ideas into organized workflows with calendars, briefs, and style guides that keep teams aligned and content on track.

Copywriting & Storytelling

I write long-form articles, website copy, and thought leadership pieces, blending storytelling with data to create content that is both human and easy to trust.

If you’re looking for a content strategist who blends research, structure, and storytelling into systems that deliver results, let’s work together.
